Early witness accounts tell of some kind of explosion or explosions, the extent of the damage is yet unknown. Two eyewitnesses say that the premises worst hit are a nightclub called “The Beta Club” and a small photocopy shop.
Information is still sketchy, and Police are maintaining a tight security cordon. Only the wounded and those less fortunate are coming out. No-one that we’ve spoken to is in any doubt that these were bomb blasts. With this extent of damage the human cost is believed to be high, and a lot more causalities are expected.
The emergency number to call is 0808 1570908
Members of the general public are still being urged to stay clear of the area as Emergency services are trying to keep all access as clear as possible. Casualties are being taken to St Hugh’s, and any overspill will be redirected towards Central London hospitals.
There have been no indications so far of who might be the cause of such explosions, but Police haven’t ruled out a terrorist attack, something that has been feared in London since the July 7th Bombings in 2005.
